Last Minute Preparation Tips RRB NTPC Phase 2 June 13–20

With Phase 2 starting June 13 just 4 days away here is what to focus on

General Awareness (40 marks highest weightage): This is the most scoring section if you have been following current affairs. Focus on Railway specific GK Indian Railways history, zones, speed records, Vande Bharat, new lines, government schemes launched in 2025–26 and current affairs from January June 2026. Static GK on history, geography and polity should be revised from standard NTPC GK books.

Mathematics (30 marks): Revise percentage, ratio, profit-loss, and SI/CI formulae. Practice 20–25 questions daily with a timer. The CBT format means no rough paper practice mental calculations and use the on-screen calculator only as a last resort.

Reasoning (30 marks): Most scoring section for systematic thinkers. Coding decoding, series and direction sense are consistently high frequency in RRB NTPC. Solve 2–3 sets of mock reasoning daily.

Time management: 100 questions in 90 minutes = 54 seconds per question. Start with Reasoning fastest, then Maths, then GK. Never spend more than 90 seconds on any single question move on and return if time permits.

Negative marking strategy: –1/3 per wrong answer means 3 wrong answers cancel 1 correct answer. Only attempt questions you are 60%+ confident about. Skip and mark uncertain ones for review do not guess blindly.
