JoSAA 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To participate in JoSAA 2026 counselling candidates must meet one or both of the following
For IIT Seats
- Must have a valid JEE Advanced 2026 rank
- Must be among the top 2.5 lakh JEE Main qualifiers
- Date of birth on or after October 1, 2001 October 1, 1996 for PwD candidates
For NIT / IIIT / GFTI Seats
- Must have a valid JEE Main 2026 rank
- Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with
- At least 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics
- OR be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board
- 65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates
- Must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12
Special Note: IIT Roorkee has allowed candidates with less than 75% in Class 12 to participate in JoSAA counselling this year always verify institute specific rules at the official JoSAA portal.
